IBS and your diet
The good IBS food guide
Different foods can affect IBS sufferers in different ways, so it can be difficult to pinpoint what may be causing your individual symptoms. Making a food and symptoms diary may help you work out your food triggers.
Generally, it is thought that a well-balanced, high fibre diet and eating little and often will help your digestive system work better. Also, try to avoid foods that are fatty or spicy. Below, you’ll find the results of a survey of IBS sufferers, carried out by the IBS Research Appeal.
They found out the most common foods that made sufferers feel worse or feel better. However, some foods did make an appearance on both lists, confirming the fact that food triggers are very individual.
